Napoli's deal includes $3 million in performance bonuses, the person told the Associated Press on Wednesday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because Napoli must pass a physical for the deal to be finalized.
Rangers make $15.8M qualifying offer to Gallardo
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Free agent right-hander Yovani Gallardo has been extended a $15.8 million qualifying offer by the AL West champion Texas Rangers. Gallardo had a week after Friday's offer to accept or decline. Texas did not make a qualifying offer to free agent Colby Lewis, but can still negotiate with the right-hander. If Gallardo declines the offer and signs with another team, Texas would get an extra pick at the end of the first round in the 2016 draft.
Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre has left thumb surgery
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre is expected to be fully ready for spring training after surgery on his left thumb. The Rangers announced late Friday night that Beltre had scar tissue removed as part of a cleanup in the thumb on Thursday.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Texas Rangers have assigned four players outright to Triple-A Round Rock as they start to clear space on their 40-man roster for the offseason reinstatement of Yu Darvish and others from the 60-day disabled list. Infielder Kyle Blanks, catcher Carlos Corporan and outfielders Antoan Richardson and Ryan Strausborger were assigned Wednesday to Round Rock. The Rangers also lost right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla on a waiver claim to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Beltre missed Game 2 on Friday because of a lower back strain that also forced the third baseman's early exit from the series opener on Thursday. The Rangers say Beltre is resting, taking medications and still considered day to day.
