Q: What is happening to MORE 27?

A: On June 1st, MORE 27 is evolving into FOX 4 PLUS! We are updating our name and look to reflect our deep connection to our sister station, FOX 4 (KDFW). Don't worry—your favorite shows are staying right here, but the change allows us to bring you even more local news, sports, and community coverage. 

Q: Did the station get sold?

A: No. The station remains proudly owned and operated by Fox Television Stations. This is purely a brand update to create a more cohesive, comprehensive television family for our North Texas audience.

Q: Why are you making this change now?

A: We want to give North Texans a seamless viewing option between our two stations. By transforming into FOX 4 PLUS, we can better coordinate our programming. For example, when major events like the FIFA World Cup take over the screen on FOX 4 this summer, our full local news coverage will live uninterrupted right here on the "PLUS" side.

Q: Did the channel numbers change?

A: No! Your remote control layout stays exactly the same. You do not need to hunt for a new channel number. You can find FOX 4 PLUS right where you always found MORE 27:

  • Cable (Spectrum & Frontier): Channel 7
  • Satellite (DirecTV & DISH): Channel 27
  • Over-The-Air Antenna: Channel 27.1 and Channel 4.2

Q: I watch with an antenna and I can’t see the new name. What should I do?

A: Because we broadcast over-the-air on channels 27.1 and 4.2, your digital converter box or smart TV may just need a quick refresh. If you still see the old "MORE 27" name or experience a blank screen, simply go to your TV's settings menu and select "Auto-Tune" or "Rescan." It only takes about two minutes and will make sure your antenna locks onto our new signal profile.

Q: Are my favorite syndicated shows like Family Feud and Judge Judy going away?

A: Absolutely not! Your favorite daytime and evening habits aren't moving an inch. Family Feud, Judge Judy, TMZ and 25 Words or Less remain cornerstone staples of the FOX 4 PLUS schedule at their regular times.

A: FOX 4 PLUS is the exclusive home for nightly talk from our area's most entertaining personalities, starting every night at 7:00.

Q: How does the "News Overflow" work when live sports are on FOX 4?

A: It’s completely seamless. If a major breaking news or weather event occurs or a live game runs long on FOX 4, we'll direct you to switch over to FOX 4 PLUS, where our news continues live, full-length coverage without missing a single beat.
