In the early hours of August 23, at about 12:10 a.m., Dallas Police Officers in the Deep Ellum area sprang into action after a robbery was reported in the 2600 block of Elm Street. Officers quickly spotted the suspects and gave loud commands to stop?two complied immediately, but one took off running. Pursued by officers on foot and on horseback, the third was quickly taken into custody. All three were carrying firearms ? one of which was stolen. Thanks to officers? quick response and teamwork, they recovered the stolen property valued at approximately $40,000.
