DFW Airport is actively preparing for the 2026 World Cup by implementing new passenger processing and expanding flight schedules, while travel experts urge fans to book accommodations early due to anticipated high demand and stricter cancellation policies.

Next year’s prestigious tournament will feature 48 teams, and the U.S. is one of the host countries for the games.

The countdown is on to the 2026 World Cup, when nine matches will be played in North Texas.

City of Dallas council members are raising concerns that they'd like to clean up ahead of Dallas hosting the FIFA World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup expands to 48 teams and will be hosted across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. Japan and New Zealand have already qualified. All matches will air on FOX.

Dallas has been named the host for the FIFA World Cup international broadcast center.

The Dallas City Council unanimously approved a $15 million agreement on Wednesday to renovate the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Downtown Dallas for the IBC.

The last time the World Cup was in the United States, Dallas was also the site of the IBC. The deal would result in thousands of journalists from all over the world calling Dallas home for several weeks.

The host committee is responsible for transporting FIFA teams, officials, volunteers and employees. That's on top of the ticketed fans. It has to have a transportation plan in to FIFA by March.

FIFA released its first list of “Team Base Camps" for World Cup, including multiple locations in North Texas.
