Strong Storms Tonight!

Strong to severe storms are possible, as a cold front moves through North Texas tonight. Damaging wind gusts and large hail are possible in strongest storms. Behind the front, brisk north winds dry us out and cool us off to start the work week. We slowly warm up through the week, before another cold front moves through Thursday.

Stormy Night For Most

After a quiet Sunday the atmosphere will erupt with widespread coverage of storms. Some even posing a severe threat with damaging wind and hail being the main threat, the tornado threat is low but not ruled out. Things clear up by daybreak with a cool breezy making it feel like fall again. #fox4weather

Parade of Cold Fronts!

Expect a warm end the weekend, as high temperatures climb into the mid and upper 80s Sunday. The next cold front moves through Sunday night, bringing a line of showers and potentially strong storms. Behind the front, drier and cooler air moves in to start the work week. Temperatures slowly moderate through the week, before another cold front brings a chance for storms late Thursday into Friday. Another shot of colder air moves in to start the weekend.

Warm Weekend For All

80s will escort all of North Texas this weekend, but a cold front looks to bring storms to the area late Sunday night. The late night storms look to linger into the early morning hours on Monday bringing with it the possibility of strong to marginally severe storms. Cooler temps with follow up on Monday with another taste of "fall".

We dropped into the 40s and 50s for most this morning. High clouds filtered in but will likely clear out by the afternoon. High temps will be in the 70s today with plenty of sunshine!

Fall-Like For Now

High clouds and a cool north breeze takeover North Texas today. Afternoon temperatures will climb close to 70 degrees. Expect a chilly night as temperatures dip into the 40s tomorrow morning. A slow warm up takes place through the rest of the week. Rain chances return late Sunday with the arrival of another cold front.

Muggy Now, Storms Later, Cooler Tomorrow

Tropical moisture continues to keep us warm, but it will also help the thunderstorm potential this afternoon/evening. Some of the storms could be marginally severe with winds and hail being the main concerns. Cooler, Fall weather returns tomorrow with highs in the 70s.

Here Comes The Next Cold Front!

Scattered showers and a few rumbles are expected tonight, as a warm front lifts northward through the region. Morning showers exit Tuesday, but another round of showers and some strong storms develops late afternoon and evening, as the next cold front moves into North Texas. Behind the front, strong northerly winds usher in cooler and drier air mid-week. A quick warm up ensues, as the weather pattern stays active, with another cold front Sunday night into Monday.

Rain Chance Increases Tonight

A nice plume of tropical moisture has worked into North Texas from the Pacific Ocean along the sub-tropical jet. This will moisture will interact with an impulse of energy that will be enough to increase the rain chances for North Texas. This will mostly be a light to moderate rain event with pockets of embedded thunderstorms scattered across North Texas. Not a complete downpour, but the better thunderstorm activity looks to be focused just northeast of the metroplex where instability is the greatest. Temperatures will moderate into the mid-80s for Tuesday before our next "cool" front reels us back into the low to mid-70s for midweek.

Rain Chances Return!

An active weather pattern continues for North Texas, with another cold front on the way by Tuesday. Ahead of the front, temperatures warm back above normal. Expect highest rain chances east of DFW. Behind the front, a shot of cooler, more seasonal air. Temperatures quickly warm by the end of the week, with another cold front approaching late Sunday.

Morning clouds give way to plenty of sunshine this afternoon, with highs in the 70s! Storm chances return tomorrow night.

Plenty of Ups and Downs!

Not as chilly across North Texas tonight thanks to high clouds streaming in from the southwest. With this disturbance, there is a very small chance for a shower, mainly in the morning Sunday. Southerly winds return warming temperatures back close to normal and eventually above to start next week. By Tuesday, another cold front brings storms and a shot of cooler air.

It's finally here...the Red River Showdown! Bundle up during the morning hours, but be sure to dress in layers and the afternoon is very comfortable in the upper 60s with abundant sunshine.

After an active night, our cold front has blown through...leaving a few lingering showers/storms. No severe weather this morning...just chilly & windy! We'll start to see some sunshine this afternoon with temps not getting out of the 50s!
