LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Patrick Mahomes threw for 428 yards and five touchdowns, two to Jakeem Grant, to lead Texas Tech past Iowa State 66-31 on Saturday for the Red Raiders' first Big 12 win. Grant had a career-high 166 yards on nine catches. He caught TD passes of 75 and 37 yards for Texas Tech (4-2, 1-2). It was Grant's third 100-plus-yard game this season. DeAndre Washington had a receiving and a rushing TD, while Justin Stockton scored on a 54-yard rush.

Red River relief for Texas as Longhorns upset No. 10 Sooners

Russell threw for 246 yards, all in the first half. Two of the TD strikes went to Corey Coleman, pushing his nation-leading total to 13, and the other to 6-foot-7, 410-pound tight end LaQuan McGowan, helping the Bears (5-0, 2-0 Big 12) to a 52-7 halftime lead.

No. 14 Texas A&M rallies for 28-21 OT win over Arkansas

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Kyle Allen threw for 358 yards, with a 20-yard touchdown to Christian Kirk in overtime as No. 14 Texas A&M completed another late comeback against Arkansas, winning the SEC opener 28-21 on Saturday night. The Aggies (4-0) had a chance to win the game on the final play of regulation, but Taylor Bertolet's 38-yard field goal attempt was just wide right.

No. 3 TCU outlasts Texas Tech 55-52 on tipped pass

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Aaron Green caught a tipped pass in the back of the end zone with 23 seconds left and No. 3 TCU outlasted Texas Tech 55-52 on Saturday in the Big 12 opener for both teams. On fourth-and-goal from the 4, Trevone Boykin's pass was high to Josh Doctson, but he got a hand on it and Green grabbed the ball as he fell out of the end zone. A video review confirmed Green had control of the ball and got a foot in bounds.

Late field goal lifts No. 24 Oklahoma State over Texas 30-27

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Ben Grogan kicked a 40-yard field goal with 6 seconds left to lift No. 24 Oklahoma State to a 30-27 win over Texas on Saturday, giving the Cowboys their fourth straight win on the Longhorns' home field. Grogan had tied the game with a 41-yarder with 1:33 left. The game appeared headed for overtime a minute later until Texas punter Michael Dickson, an Australian rules football player, fumbled a deep snap and scrambled to get off a 10-yard punt near his own end zone.

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Iowa has found itself a running back — just in time for Big Ten play. Jordan Canzeri ran for 115 yards and tied a school record with four touchdowns as Iowa trounced North Texas 62-16 Saturday for its fourth straight win. C.J. Beathard completed his first 15 passes and had 278 yards for the Hawkeyes (4-0), who open Big Ten play next week at Wisconsin after topping 60 points for the first time since 2002.
