Happy Independence Day!

It'll be hot and humid on this 4th of July, with a slight chance of an afternoon shower or storm.

Forecast: 100% chance of FREEDOM!

Slightly better rain chances tomorrow afternoon, but still not a washout. Best rain chances remain at 30% mainly along & east of I-35. Lightning remains the greatest hazard, especially for any outdoor events. #fox4weather

Midday Fireworks Forecast

A few storms possible today and tomorrow afternoons...but dry for fireworks!

Below Normal For July!

We're talking low 90s for the July 4th holiday...and I don't think anyone's complaining! We do have low rain and storm chances to contend with during the afternoon hours today and tomorrow, but no severe weather is expected. If a storm develops, it will have the potential to produce plenty of lightning and gusty winds. Brief downpours will be possible, but storms will be very brief in nature....

Pop-Up Storms

Summer-like heat and humidity continue through the week. Several weak disturbances will keep isolated to widely scattered showers and storms possible each day. The region dries out and temperatures start climb this weekend.

Monday Noon Update

Afternoon showers and storms will produce dangerous cloud to ground lightning. All thunderstorm activity will end around sunset. #fox4weather

Low Storm Chances

Our typical Summer-like temperatures continue through next week. Low storm chances are expected with the heating of the day.Gusty winds and lightning are likely with any storms that develop. Most will diminish around sunset, just in time for fireworks celebrations.

Sunday Morning Weather Update

Afternoon storms return, this time favoring I-20 and areas to the south. Gusty winds, small hail, and cloud to ground lightning will be likely. #fox4weather

Summer-like Heat & Storms!

Typical Summertime heat persists through next week. Daytime heating will likely spark some showers and storms each afternoon and into the evening. High pressure builds into Texas by the end of next week, drying the region out.

Small Storm Chances...

Not a weekend wash-out, but a few storms are possible for the last weekend in June! A few storms today and tomorrow could be strong, with small hail and gusty winds as the main threat. This will mainly be across our eastern counties. Coverage will be fairly low for the metroplex. Few more storms possible tomorrow, with active weather setting up through the work week!

Showers, But No Washout

Although rain returns to the picture, the weekend will not be a total washout. Mid to late afternoon showers for Saturday will be mainly east of DFW. #fox4weather

Friday Noon Update

Happy Friday! Not much has changed regarding the short term forecast. Here's a quick update!

Heating Up Today!

Today will feature plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures. In fact, we could see heat index values approach the century mark...but that's it for awhile! We're going to be looking at BELOW normal temps for the first week of July. The weekend will contain a couple of afternoon shower and storm chances...no severe weather is expected.
