As results are finalized in the May 2026 primary runoffs, the Nov. 3 general election matchups are being set.

Texans have made their choices Tuesday night for who will represent them on either side of the aisle in the Nov. 3 election for state attorney general.

Shortly after Texas AG Ken Paxton was announced as the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, his Democratic opponent, state Rep. James Talarico, released a video in opposition to the nomination. 

Voters have made their choice in one of the most contentious runoff elections in Texas.

Incumbent Sen. John Cornyn has lost his runoff election against Texas AG Ken Paxton.

The victim in last Saturday's road rage shooting in Fort Worth had just started his own landscaping business for the summer, and had just finished his junior year at a local high school.

Colin Allred has won the Democratic nomination for U.S. House District 33, defeating incumbent Julie Johnson. He will face Republican Patrick Gillespie in the general election in November.

Everett Jackson defeated Sholdon Daniels to win the U.S. House District 30 Republican primary runoff. Jackson will face Democrat Freddie Haynes in the general election in November.
