Man Arrested for Pointing Gun at Officer
No one injured in officer-involved shooting at Dallas apartment complex.
Dallas, Texas - A man was arrested Saturday night for pointing a gun at a Dallas police officer.
The officer was called to an apartment complex in the 8200 block of Willoughby Blvd. in the Red Bird area of Dallas. Witnesses told police a man was standing outside in a common area of the apartment complex with a shotgun.
When the officer approached, the gunman allegedly pointed his weapon at the officer. In response, the officer fired his gun, but didn't hit the suspect.
The gunman was taken into custody. He will be charged with aggravated assault on a public servant.
No one was hurt.
The officer who fired his gun was placed on administrative leave, per department policy.
