Allen Outlets Shooting: Family of security guard says he was among 8 victims killed

The mother of Christian LaCour said he was one of eight victims killed Saturday when a gunman opened fire at the Allen Premium Outlets.

LaCour's mother said he was working as a security guard at the shopping center at the time of the shooting.

The 20-year-old grew up in nearby Farmersville.

Nine people were killed in the shooting, including the gunman. Seven were pronounced dead at scene, while two others died at the hospital.

The city of Allen said three surviving victims are still in critical condition. Four others are stable in the hospital.

The names of the victims have not yet been released.


Allen Premium Outlets Shooting: 8 victims killed, 7 injured; shooter 'neutralized'

Authorities responded to the Allen Premium Outlets to investigate a shooting Saturday afternoon that killed eight victims and sent others to hospitals, with a victim as young as 5 years old.

The shooting suspect was identified as 33-year-old Mauricio Garcia of Dallas. He was killed by a police officer working a nearby call.

Investigators are still working to determine his motive.
