Here's To You: The Hot Flashes

The Hot Flashes are women from North Texas who love to dance. They rehearse twice a week. Since 2010, they've performed for free for all ages. They hope the dance routine shows audiences that doing what you love and volunteering keeps you healthy, young and happy.

HERE'S TO YOU: FaLaLa Lakewood

"FaLaLa Lakewood" took to the streets in the rain to help kids supported by the Dallas Children's Advocacy Center's Holiday of Hope. Lakewood residents collected $82,861 in cash and toys to help 1,600 children affected by abuse.

Here's To You: Walnut Grove High School

Students at Walnut Grove High School collected more than 2,000 toys for their Wally's Red Wagon toy drive. The drive was started when the school opened last year. The toy drive was established by Principal Dustin Toth to establish a tradition of campus values, empathy and putting others before self.

Here's To You: Michael Moon

Before retiring, Michael Moon had a 46-year-long career in law enforcement and was the police chief of the Ovilla Police Department. He'd been a patient at Methodist Midlothian and was impressed by how everyone was treated. Since 2023, he's given 635 volunteer hours of service.
