It took Tarrant County jurors two days to find a man guilty of killing his estranged wife.

The murder happened near the Southlake Town Square in 2016.

Kenneth Martin and his wife, Linda, had just left a divorce mediation meeting. He walked up to her car at a red light and shot her in the face.

Shortly after her death, Linda Martin’s neighbor and friend told FOX 4 that the couple had a tumultuous relationship. Janvier Scott-Warner said Linda was afraid of Kenneth and had been dreading the mediation meeting.

"She was afraid to be home alone…. afraid that he would come and trap her in her home." Scott-Warner said. "Her worst fear actually came true and none of us could do anything about it.”

The sentencing phase of the trial begins Thursday.
