American Airlines knocked down six buildings from its former headquarters on Friday.

The three and five-story buildings just west of Highway 360 were imploded at 1 p.m. SKY 4 captured the collapse with a cloud of dust and debris.

Many employees watched from the top of the parking garage of American’s current headquarters near DFW Airport.

The old buildings have been vacant since 2009. American plans to build a new campus-style headquarters on the site.
