DPD officer accused of sexually assaulting child gets fired

A Dallas police officer charged with sexually assaulting a child has been fired.
Ryan Ramirez was charged last Wednesday.
The alleged incident happened in mid-June with an 8-year-old child of a family friend.
Ramirez is out on a $10,000 bond.
He was with the Dallas Police Department for the past seven years.
He has the opportunity to appeal the department's decision to fire him.
