The accused gunman in the murder-for-hire plot that left a Dallas dentist dead had his Tuesday federal court hearing canceled at the last minute.

Kristopher Love was arrested Thursday for Dr. Kendra Hatcher’s murder. He is a convicted felon and cannot have a firearm.

According to FBI documents, he had a .40 caliber pistol in his car at the time of his arrest. Investigators say the same time of gun was used to kill Hatcher last month in the parking garage of her Uptown high-rise.

The documents also reveal cellphone records connect Love to Crystal Cortez, the accused getaway driver, and Brenda Delgado, who is accused of planning the murder.

Delgado was allegedly angry that her ex-boyfriend of two years had a glamorous new dentist girlfriend.

The documents also say a fourth unnamed person was involved in the plot. That person was allegedly asked by Delgado to find someone to “take care of something.”

All of the suspects have been arrested except for Delgado, who is still on the run.

Love was scheduled to go before a federal judge on Tuesday, but the hearing never occurred. Love's attorney told FOX4 the cancelation was due to a procedural issue.

Love was back in Dallas County custody on Tuesday after being detained by the feds for being a felon in possession of a firearm on Monday. He remains jailed on a $2.5 million bond.
