Dallas City Council passes Trinity Parkway plan compromise
Dallas City Council unanimously passed a compromise to limit the size of any road built along the Trinity River levees to just four lanes.
Critics have opposed plans for a larger toll road for decades.
A scaled-down version was introduced earlier this year.
Wednesday morning, freshman council member Adam McGough rallied support for an even more limited plan that promises to preserve development of lakes and parks around the road.
