It’s a giving day in North Texas.
Last year 75,000 donors set a national record on North Texas Giving Day by giving more than $26 million to local non-profit organizations.
The Heritage Farmstead Museum is one of the hundreds of charities participating this year. It’s a premiere living history site in Plano where people of all ages can take a trip back in time.
“We see over 12,000 kids a year for fieldtrips. We like to consider it everyone’s favorite fieldtrip,” said M’Lou Hyttinen and Kathy Strobel, representatives from the museum.
Residents can give to their favorite charity between 6 a.m. and midnight. Each donation of $25 or more qualifies the organization for bonus funds and prizes.
