One of the Cowboys’ newest running backs has run into some trouble with the law. Ezekiel Elliott has been accused of domestic violence.

Elliott was not arrested and denies doing anything wrong, but FOX 4 has obtained the police reports and 911 calls from an incident that happened in Columbus, Ohio Friday morning.

The reports state a woman claiming to be Elliott’s former live-in girlfriend accused him of striking her and leaving bruises on her arms. She told officers she had pain in her wrists and red marks, but did not seek medical treatment.

In the 911 call the woman said Elliott hit her all over. “He’s been doing it for the past five days,” she said.

Police questioned Elliott, but did not take him into custody. He told them her claims were untrue, said he never lived with her and claimed the marks on her arms were from a bar fight she was in. Four other witnesses also said they didn’t see an assault.

The woman was referred to the prosecutor’s office and can still try to press charges. The NFL is also investigating the incident.

Elliott's father, Stacy, issued a statement Friday afternoon saying the charges were false:

“The reported allegations and Internet postings regarding our son are completely false. Ezekiel has done nothing wrong,” Stacy Elliott said in a prepared statement. “The police have investigated this matter and eyewitnesses have verified the lack of any wrongdoing. The actual evidence in this matter clearly indicates what the real motivation was behind the police being called. We are confident that when the truth comes to light it will reveal the falsity of these claims. Ezekiel has been fully cooperative with the police and will continue to do so—along with cooperating with the NFL—moving forward.”

Elliott, an Ohio State running back, was the Cowboys' first round pick and the fourth overall draft pick in May. He signed a four-year contract worth nearly $25 million and received a $16 million signing bonus.

The NFL is investigating the allegations. The Cowboys had no comment.

Friday is Elliot's 21st birthday.
