Eden Checkol

Eden Checkol is an award winning news anchor at FOX4. She anchors the noon and 4 p.m. weekday newscasts. She is thrilled to finally call North Texas home! 

Before moving to the Lone Star State, Eden was an evening news anchor in Miami, FL. She covered several major news events including the Surfside Condo Collapse and back to back Florida Panthers Championship parades. 

Prior to Miami, Eden was a morning and midday anchor in Milwaukee. She also reported in Madison, Wisconsin and got her start in Duluth, Minnesota.

Eden is a Minnesota native. She was born and raised in the Twin Cities. Eden’s fascination with journalism started early. Every night after dinner, her family would watch the news together and discuss current events. Her dad was a former journalism professor, and he may have indirectly sparked her interest!

Outside of work, Eden enjoys spending time with her husband, who is also a journalist, and their goldendoodle, Arie. In her free time, Eden loves to check out new restaurants and is always open to recommendations! She’s looking forward to exploring all that North Texas has to offer!
