CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) — Industry analyst Trilby Lundberg says the U.S. average price of gasoline has dropped 27 cents over the past three weeks, to $2.44 a gallon.
Lundberg says the pump price fell even though crude oil prices gained strength, as gasoline supply outweighed demand.
A survey by auto club AAA put the national average gas price at $2.34 per gallon. AAA said the summer driving season has ended with the lowest national average gas prices for the Labor Day holiday in more than a decade.
