Police: Masked man shot woman during house party

DALLAS - Dallas police are looking for a man who walked into a house party and shot a woman early Wednesday morning.

Police said several women were at the after-work party at the home on Marcell Avenue near South Cockrell Hill Road in West Oak Cliff.

They left the front door open and man masked walked in around 4 a.m. The man tried to rob the place and shot one woman.

He ended up fleeing without taking anything and is still on the run. Police have not released his description.

The injured woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
