North Texans could be asked to conserve power again Friday

The power grid operator in Texas may call for residents and businesses to conserve power again Friday.

An alert went out Thursday afternoon because a couple power plants were offline due to maintenance issues.

Between 3 and 7 p.m. there was barely enough power to keep the power on without rolling blackouts.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, said the warning might be repeated during those same peak hours on Friday.
