City of Dallas celebrates its first Indigenous People’s Day

DALLAS - The city of Dallas celebrated its first Indigenous People’s Day on Monday.

A resolution approved by the city council last week honors the Native Americans who lived in the U.S. before Europeans arrived.

Dallas is one of more than 100 cities across the U.S. that has agreed to recognize the day on the Columbus Day holiday.
