Federal authorities say a group of people carried out an ambush attack on law enforcement at an immigration detention facility in North Texas. Over the weekend a police officer was shot in the neck outside the prairieland detention center in Alvarado.

The Guadalupe River with damage on either side as people in the area are still trying to wrap their minds around everything that way destroyed. Several search crews are on their way to the area to assist with search efforts, including teams from Texans on a mission who departed North Texas.

More than 100 people are now confirmed dead in the Central Texas flood. Crews spend another day searching through debris and dirt to find the missing and bring closure to desperate families. Some of the people who did make it out and share their stories of escape as questions continue into the weather warnings and why the summer camps did not evacuate.
