West Dallas shooting on I-30 service road leaves man dead
DALLAS - A 28-year-old man was found dead in a vehicle after a shooting in West Dallas.
What we know:
Dallas police said the shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 4400 block of the Dallas Fort Worth Service Turnpike. That’s a service road along Interstate 30 near Loop 12.
Officers found 28-year-old Erick Artea Lerma dead inside a vehicle.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene but was later arrested and identified as 32-year-old Anthony Rios Rivera. He is now charged with murder.
What we don't know:
Rios Rivera’s mugshot has not yet been released.
Police also haven’t shared a motive for the shooting or said how they connected the Rios Rivera to the crime.
