Trackdown: Downtown Dallas Shooter

What's New:

Tramine Johnson, 30, is now behind bars at the Dallas County jail.

He’s accused of fatally shooting 20-year-old Didier Orea on the streets of Downtown Dallas last month.

According to an affidavit, the detective received multiple tips after Trackdown aired on FOX 4.

Police said the Trackdown tips, along with fingerprints from a bag of chips, helped confirm Johnson as their suspect.

He's charged with murder and failure to register as a sex offender.

The backstory:

Orea was shot and killed in the 400 block of North Harwood Street, between Bryan Street and Live Oak Street, on Dec. 14.

Detectives said he was meeting a friend in the parking lot on his way back to his apartment complex and got into an altercation with an unknown man.
