Students asked to drop their pants over feces in school gym

Two people in a North Texas school district were placed on administrative leave for forcing elementary school students to pull their pants down for an inspection.

Administrators at the school in Gustine were trying to find the child responsible for repeatedly leaving feces on the gym floor.

About 25 to 30 students in the fourth and fifth grade were checked individually. The boys were reportedly taken to one room and the girls another.

Many parents including Maria Medina were furious. She said her young daughter didn't feel comfortable exposing her underwear, but was told she had to.

Superintendent Ken Baugh said he does not condone the search and that partially strip-searching students went too far.

The district is investigating and has already placed two people on administrative leave.

Gustine is a small town located 90 miles southwest of Fort Worth.
