South Carolina judge's home destroyed in massive fire; 3 injured

A large house fire occurred at a South Carolina judge’s residence that left three people injured over the weekend.
The Post and Courier in South Carolina obtained video of the fire and identified the homeowners as Circuit Court Judge Diane Schafer Goldstein, 69, and her husband, Arnold Goodstein, 81, a former South Carolina senator.
South Carolina authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and said there was no evidence to indicate that the fire that destroyed the home was intentionally set, according to FOX News.
In September, Judge Goldstein issued a ruling temporarily blocking South Carolina from providing millions of voters’ personal data to the Trump administration, Newsweek reported.

A fire occurred at South Carolina Judge Diane Schafer’s home on Oct. 4. The St. Paul Fire District released a photo on their official Facebook page showing the home engulfed by flames and clouds of black smoke.
Firefighters from St. Paul Fire District helped the Edisto Beach Fire Department extinguish the fire on Edisto Island, a waterfront community about an hour away from Charleston, South Carolina.
St. Paul Fire District wrote on Facebook that crews had to rescue people from the backyard of the house using kayaks.
Several neighbors helped paramedics rescue former South Carolina senator Arnold Goldstein using a canoe and rope, and two more people were rescued from the same area, the Post and Courier reported.
