Restaurant holds fundraiser for injured Fort Worth officers
An all-day fundraiser is going on in North Richland Hills on Wednesday for two injured Fort Worth police officers.
Chef Blythe's Southern Bistro will donate a portion of its sales Wednesday to help wounded Officer Matthew Pearce and Officer Kyle Davis, who was injured in a car crash last week.
The business is also taking donations on their behalf and holding a raffle.
Chef Blythe said she started organizing the event a week ago and has been amazed at how quickly it's come together.
“It's been shared on Facebook so many times. The Texas Rangers, Jerry Jones and his wife. A lot of people have reached out to us and offered help and support and I'm just so overwhelmed,” Blythe said.
Chef Blythe's will be open until 10 p.m. Wednesday for the fundraiser, an hour later than normal.
Chef Blythe's Southern Bistro is located at 9160 N Tarrant Pkwy, # 180, North Richland Hills, Texas 76182.
