Man killed in Fort Worth possible road rage shooting

Fort Worth police are looking for whoever shot and killed a 62-year-old man in a possible road rage shooting.

What we know:

Around 7 p.m. Monday, a gray sedan was reported to police for blocking a northbound lane on Loop 820 just before the Meadowbrook exit.

Once officers arrived, they found 62-year-old Ricky Langs unconscious in the driver’s seat with a gunshot wound. He was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Fort Worth police initially said they were investigating the murder as possible road rage and later said they were working to learn exactly what led up to Langs’ death.

What we don't know:

No suspect description or suspect vehicle have been released by police.

What they're saying:

Family members say Langs was on the phone just minutes before the shooting and complained of someone driving close behind him.

"And it’s just killing me, and I can’t just get over it," said his mom, Bobbie Wofford. "And I am just breaking down about it.

Family members hope somebody comes forward.

"It’s people driving every minute of every second. They had to see something," said daughter Shelby Johnson.

"Somebody had to see something," Wofford said. "Why would you kill somebody for no reason?  Why?"
