Lyft scooters hit streets of Dallas, fourth company with scooters in city

More electric scooters are hitting the streets in Dallas.

This time, Lyft is putting out its scooters. It’s the fourth company to roll out scooters in the city, joining Lime, Bird and Uber’s Jump.

Each ride will take $1 to unlock and an additional 15 cents for every minute people ride.

“Lyft is committed to a future where Dallas is built around people instead of cars — and scooters only help to further this movement locally,” said Odi Agenmonmen, Texas Market Manager for Lyft Bikes & Scooters.

Users can rent the scooters in the existing Lyft app.

Lyft didn’t say how many scooters it plans to put into circulation in Dallas.
