As needed Pam spray
4 ea. 8 oz burger patties (98% fat free)
4 each turkey bacon strips (cooked)
4 cups sliced mushrooms
2 cups sliced onions (half moon shape)
2 cups red bell peppers strips
To taste kosher salt
To taste black pepper
4 slices low fat cheddar cheese
1/2 cup reduced sugar ketchup
1 tbs liquid smoke
1 tsp dry ground chipotle peppers
Using a non-stick skillet over med high heat, spray with Pam spray and saute mushrooms, onions and peppers until they begin to brown. Set aside.
Season both sides of burger patties with salt & pepper. Spray preheated (med high) non stick skillet with Pam spray.
Place burgers in skillet, cook approx 2 minutes on each side until browned. Place veggies back in skillet around burgers. Place cheese on each burger. Pour approx 3 tbs of cold water in pan to create steam. Immediately cover with lid until cheese is melted.
Place veggies on each plate, place burger on top of veggies, top with one slice of turkey bacon.
Serve chipotle ketchup on the side.
