LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The city-county Public Building Commission has approved a $3.87 million bid to renovate the Benesch Building in Lincoln to house the Mental Health Crisis Center.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports (http://bit.ly/1O6iNRo ) that the approval was made Tuesday.
Work on the Benesch Building and on the former county jail across the street marks the start of a shuffle of county departments into new headquarters. The Benesch Building renovation will almost entirely remake the interior to accommodate the 15-bed crisis center's patients and staff.
The Lancaster County Board must still approve the Benesch Building renovation bid.
