Fire destroys multi-million dollar home in Westover Hills

WESTOVER HILLS - A fire destroyed a multi-million dollar home in Westover Hills, a suburb of Fort Worth, Friday morning.

Fort Worth firefighters responded to the home on Westover Terrace shortly after 12:30 a.m. and found flames shooting the the roof.

Due to the risk of collapse, firefighters escalated the fire to two, then three alarms. Additional manpower was needed to fight the fire defensively from the outside.

According to firefighters, "The narrow streets and the fact the home sits back off the street presented additional challenges."

Most of the roof collapsed and the flames gutted the home.

No one was home and no injuries have been reported.

A cause has not yet been determined.

This was the second fire at the home in the last 24 hours. The first fire was described as not serious in nature. Firefighters said both incidents are being investigated.

Two neighbors told FOX 4 the home belongs to Brad Corbett, Jr. Corbett's late father owned the Texas Rangers in the late 1970s.
