A beloved teacher in Frisco got a special Christmas surprise.

Amy Ramsey has been battling an aggressive form of cancer. On Monday evening, she was able to forget about her disease just for a moment to be uplifted with songs and prayer.

A crowd of students, parents, fellow teachers and first responders gathered outside Ramsey’s home to show their love.

“Surprise!” they shouted as she opened the door. They sang Jingle Bells and other Christmas carols for her afterward.

Ramsey teaches journalism courses at Pioneer Heritage Middle School in Frisco. She has also been a teacher at Saint Monica Catholic School in Dallas.
