Three Bone Short Beef Ribs

Pitmaster Tim Hutchins from Hutchins BBQ is cooking up something mouth-watering short ribs for Good Day.

Three Bone Short Beef Ribs 

Approximately 5 lbs. (three bones) beef short ribs 

Rub Base: 
½ cup of yellow mustard or your favorite hot sauce to cover the ribs

Rub Bark: 
½ cup of 8/16 heavy ground black pepper
½ cup of kosher salt 

Heat your oven to 275 degrees.

Mix the black pepper and kosher salt in a bowl and set aside.

Lay ribs out and lightly cover them in yellow mustard or hot sauce.

Take the salt and pepper mixture and lightly cover the ribs.

Place the ribs directly in the oven for 6-8 hours or until the internal temperature is between 195-200 degrees.

Halfway through the cook, take the ribs out and wrap them in foil to keep them from drying out.

Remove the ribs from the oven and wrap them in peach butcher paper to rest for 30 minutes.

Unwrap ribs and enjoy!
