DALLAS - New Dallas Mavericks forward Anthony Davis has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers with an abdominal strain.

Davis headlined the Mavs' return in the trade for Luka Dončić.
Tuesday's scratch is not a surprise.
Prior to the trade, Davis had missed the previous two Lakers game with the abdominal injury.
During a news conference on Sunday, Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison dismissed the injury as minor.
New Maverick Max Christie is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game due to the trade.

The Dallas Mavericks shared a video of Davis and Christie on a plane Monday.

Both players ended the video by saying, "Go Mavs."
