Two arrested after man shot at White Settlement motel

Two people were arrested after a man was shot at a motel in White Settlement early Wednesday morning.

What we know:

Police responded to a shooting call at a motel in the 600 block of North Jim Wright Freeway just after 1:45 a.m.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot. He was taken to a local hospital, but his condition is unknown.

Police arrested the suspected shooter at the scene and detained another person believed to be connected to the shooting. Officers recovered a gun they believe was used in the incident. Both suspects remain in custody.

What we don't know:

Detectives are still investigating what led up to the shooting.

The identities of the victim and suspects have not been released.

The victim’s current condition remains unclear.
