Whataburger offers free breakfast to federal workers, even with shutdown ending

Whataburger will offer a helping hand to federal workers, even with the end of the government shutdown.

The popular fast-food chain said it will give a free taquito and cup of coffee beginning Jan. 26 to eligible federal workers during breakfast, 6 a.m. – 11 a.m.

“We’re aware of the recent reopening of our federal government, and we remain committed to helping our friends and neighbors get back on their feet. The offer begins tomorrow from 6 to 11 a.m. every morning until further notice,” the restaurant said on social media.

Whataburger said federal workers will need to show a valid federal ID to get the deal, which is only available inside. The offer is not for drive thru or mobile orders.
