UPDATE: Car crash in Fort Worth kills 2 children, grandmother arrested
A woman whose daughter and grandson died in a Fort Worth car crash Saturday night was arrested at the scene for drug possession.
Tawanna Barrett was driving on Loop 820 around 7 P.M. when police say a Dodge Ram lost control and collided with her Nissan Altima. The crash killed Barrett's 6-year-old daughter, Trinity Atkins. Her 11-month-old grandson, Wesley Barrett, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Barrett is not accused of causing the crash but police did arrest and charge her with narcotics possession.
