Two DPS troopers rear-ended in Dallas

Two DPS troopers were rear-ended in Dallas early Saturday morning.

DPS spokesman Lonny Haschel said the troopers were working in a construction area on the Dallas North Tollway just before 3 a.m. when they were struck.
 

Haschel said a Volkswagen struck the back of the patrol vehicle, but the troopers were not seriously injured.

The driver was not injured and arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. 

The roadway reopened around 4:45 a.m.
