Two arrested after attempted Fort Worth bank robbery

Two people have been arrested in connection with Thursday’s attempted bank robbery in Fort Worth that left three people injured.
Police say two armed men walked in to the Veritex Community Bank on Merrick Street around 9:20 a.m. and opened fire. Three female employees were shot and are said to be in serious condition. However, their injuries are not life threatening.

Three people initially detained for questioning on Thursday after authorities surrounded a nearby home. Of the three, only one person was arrested. The FBI says the other two were questioned and released.
Authorities arrested a second suspect on Friday.
Police say the attempted robbers did not get away with any money. Their names have not been released.
