Tiny Dancer undeterred by disability
A pint sized dancer is different from the other ballerinas in training, but she’s not letting it stop her from shining on the stage.
Madeline Lopez was born with one bone missing from her leg, and another, too short in her thigh. Her parents say the decision wasn’t an easy one, but opted to have Madeline’s foot amputated. Doctors were able to make a prosthetic stump at her ankle so she could walk, and support her own weight.
Madeline’s first recital will be June 12th at the Charles W. Eismann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson. You can find tickets HERE.
