Shooting suspect shot by Fort Worth police
Fort Worth - A man suspected of firing shots at a car and pointing a gun at police was shot by a Fort Worth police officer Saturday night.
The incident started around 10:00 p.m., when there was an altercation inside a restaurant, police said.
The suspect shot up an unoccupied vehicle, then left the area.
He was found around 11:00 p.m. at a home on the city's north side, on Friendsway Drive, near Western Center Boulevard. He came out pointing a gun, police said.
"Officers ordered him to drop the pistol, he raised the pistol at officers, they fired multiple times striking the subject,” said Fort Worth Police Sergeant, Steve Enright.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
There is no word yet on his condition.
