Search underway for missing dog in two cities

Less than a week after a major car crash, two North Texas Cities are on the hunt for a missing dog.

"Daisy" or "Daisy Mae" is a white lab mix who was riding in her owner's car when it was struck by a big rig Tuesday.  The driver and passenger were pulled from the vehicle, but paramedics say there was no sign of the 11-month-old pup.

Now the cities of Plano and Richardson are helping the search by putting out an alert for the missing dog. Through posts on social media they are urging anyone who may have seen or found Daisy to contact them.  She is not micro-chipped, but she was wearing a green collar outlined in blue with a blue rabies tag attached.  The accident happened eastbound on the George Bush Turnpike at the ramp to southbound 75. Anyone with information is asked to call Plano Police at (972) 941-7000.
