Richardson Restaurant Stabbing: 4 hospitalized, suspect killed by police

Police shot and killed a man Wednesday night after he allegedly stabbed four people at a local restaurant, authorities said.

What we know:

Richardson police responded to several calls reporting a man threatening patrons with a knife at Good Vibes Bar and Grill, located in the 2100 block of E. Buckingham Road, at approximately 10 p.m.

When officers arrived, they encountered the armed suspect standing outside the restaurant's entrance. After being told there were victims inside, officers ordered the man to drop the weapon. When he refused to comply, two officers opened fire, striking him.

While waiting for paramedics, officers provided medical aid to the victims inside the establishment. Four people were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect was also taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released. Police stated there is no remaining threat to the public.
