PROSPER, Texas - A food pantry in the Collin County town of Prosper is asking for help after a fire damaged its facility.
Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors Fire
What we know:
The fire happened on Saturday night at the Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors facility near the intersection of Hays Road and High Point Drive.
It started in the business next door to the food pantry and spread.
Thankfully, no one was hurt. However, the damage was significant enough that the food pantry had to temporarily shut down.
All of the pantry's food was destroyed by either the fire or the chemicals used to put it out.
What we don't know:
Neighbors Nourishing Neighbors isn't sure when it will be able to reopen or how it will feed families in the meantime.
"We serve about 300 families every week. Those families that are food insecure in our immediate area, they don't have some place to feed their families. We have to look for partners that can temporarily feed those people," said Executive Director Robert Daleo.
The cause of the fire is also unknown.

What's next:
Over the next few weeks, the pantry's leaders hope to salvage whatever equipment they can from their facility and find a new facility to resume operations
"The outpouring of support from our community has been tremendous, and we are grateful for everyone who has reached out to offer assistance. While we work through this challenging situation, we remain committed to our mission of ensuring no neighbor goes hungry," the organization said on social media.
