Police: McKinney North student was not planning to hurt anyone else

McKINNEY, Texas - The teenage boy who killed himself at school on Friday was not planning a mass shooting, McKinney police said.
Despite rumors about the student’s intentions, police said they do not believe he was a threat. There is no evidence that he was planning to hurt anyone else.
Grief counselors were on the campus Monday and fellow students wore orange in support of suicide awareness.
Some concerned parents are demanding metal detectors at the school. Others are calling for mental health screenings for students.
