Police looking for suspect in south Arlington fatal shooting

ARLINGTON, Texas - Police have found surveillance video and now they are looking for the person who shot and killed a man in a south Arlington neighborhood.

A man in his 20s was fatally shot in the middle of Fern Meadow Road near Matlock Road around 11 p.m. Monday night.

Neighbors said they heard gunshots and saw a body in the street.  One homeowner’s surveillance camera also recorded video of a white four-door sedan leaving the scene.

Police now want to talk to the owner of the vehicle. They’re also asking that anyone with information call Det. Caleb Blank at 817-459-5735. Anonymous tips can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

Neighbors told FOX 4 their street is usually very quiet. Most were shocked to hear about the shooting.
