Police are trying to determine why a man fired shots inside a Plano office building over the weekend.

It happened early Sunday morning inside the NTT Data building on Plano Parkway, just north of the President George Bush Turnpike and west of Highway 75.

Plano SWAT officers responded to the call about an active shooter. Police eventually arrested Christopher James Frazier inside the building. No one was hurt.

NTT Data is an IT services company with good security. Police praised how employees responded to the potentially deadly situation.

“Fortunately the building was not full and everyone, the employees that were inside there, you know, I can’t give them enough credit for what they did. They did everything that we trained individuals to do on active shooter situations. You shelter in place and make those 911 calls and that’s exactly what they did. Potentially their actions prevented someone from being killed or injured,” said David Tilley with the Plano Police Department.

Frazier was not an employee but did have access to the facility. He’s now facing charges including the unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of marijuana.
